Lee Rogers and Dean Moraitis have been training club and scholastic teams in Long Island since 1991.
Their program has achieved incredible success, including
Championships and National Rankings, for the towns of Baldwin, Oceanside, Port Washington, Hewlett, Lawrence, Syosett, Long Beach, New Hyde
Park and Herricks, to name a few.
Port Washington Predators
BU16 - Division 3The
Predators started in the last Division of the LIJSL. By the end of the Fall 2009 Season, the Predators finished in second place in the 3rd Division, one point
behind first place. They have already claimed three Division titles and won the Waldbum's Cup in the Spring
of 2009. Please read their
Case Study for the full details of this team's success.
Port Washington Torpedoes
BU10 - Division 8The
Despite a tough schedule, where this Boys "C" team had to play teams that were considered "A" and "B" level, the team was recognized as "...the only team that
seemed to play the game in a proper, tactical form." In September, the team played the "B" squad of Albertson in a tournament and lost 0-6. Three weeks later,
the Torpedoes played the same team in a league game and lost 1-3, gaining respect and admiration from all that were at the field. Clearly a team with potential,
we are hoping for the same developmental arc as with the Port Washington Predators.
Port Washington Power
GU16 - Division 4EASA
began training the Power from the summer of 2007 when they were a Division 7 team. Since then, they have moved up three Divisions, winning Division 6, and finished
in fourth place this past Fall Season, despite numerous devastating injuries. For Spring 2010, they will be playing in Division 4.
Port Washington Blue Knights
BU15 - Division 5Dean
Moraitis took over the team the winter of 2009, after the team had finished the Fall Season with a record of 0-9. At the conclusion of the 2009 Spring Season, the
team finished with a record of 5-3-2, and moved back to Division 5, where the finished the Fall 2009 Season with a record of 5-4. The team has added a few new
players, and are hoping to progress this season to Division 4.
Port Washington Wildcats
GU14 - Division 4The
team played strong this past Fall 2009 Season, finishing with a record of 5-1-3, and just missing being promoted to Division 4, by two points. They also won the
Oceanside United Soccer Tournament — winning all of their games. This season, the Wildcats goal is to finish in first place and move up at least one Division.
Baldwin Senior High School
Division IIFor many years, the
Girls Varsity Soccer program was known to have talent, but could not "..take it to the next level." Lee Rogers took over as the Assistant Coach, and the results
were instantly recognizable. The Bruins made the Nassau County Final for the first time in over 20 years, losing a tight game to Massapequa, 1-2. Clearly, the
program's future is bright.
For the Spring of 2010, Dean Moraitis will be taking over training duties for the Port Washington Dynamite (GU12), and Lee Rogers will be
working with the Port Washington Flames (GU17).
