Michael Hurley
To Michael Hurley, soccer goalkeeping is far more than simply stopping shots. In addition to superb technical skills, it demands dominant control of the area, decisive distribution, and confident leadership. While an incredible save can be the most exciting moment of any match, it should be taught as a last resort. As young goalkeepers develop, they must learn to organize the defensive shape of the team, as well as consistently deal with crosses, in order to stop an offensive threat before it results in a shot.

Mike Gillies Goalkeeping TrainerA goalkeeper must take pride in his or her work ethic; realizing the most demanding physical activity comes during the training week will make game day that much easier and successful. Most importantly, our goalkeepers will carry the confidence and decisive action we have instilled into every facet of their lives as they mature into successful and responsible young adults.

Marc Solomon
Mark Soloman Marc Solomon's soccer training philosophy is to educate, and then transform individual talent into a cohesive unit. Leading by example with communication as the key, yields a great experience for all children. To fully and truly extract all potential real life lessons in soccer, or any sport for that matter, it is essential to gain a very high level of understanding of the sport, as well as the elements that govern it. The love of a sport allows an individual to explore the skills of the game, which gives them the power to succeed at it, and shed a little more light on the skills of life.

Marc Solomon challenges all players that he trains with three goals:
1) Play Hard: Make sure each soccer player is performing to the best of their ability and, if not, help them get there quickly.
2) Play To Win: Teach players that winning and losing is part of the game and life itself.
3) Have Fun: The first two are important, but having fun can easily contribute to the first two. Never underestimate the importance of having fun.

Dan Brotman
Dan Brotman Dan Brotman brings a distinctive youth soccer training and development philosophy to EASA. Formulated from years of competitive playing, coaching and training with the USSF and NSCAA, as well as attending coaching clinics, conferences and demonstrations around the country, Brotman has advanced a system that educates youth players in both the mental and physical aspects of the sport from an early age.

Brotman's philosophy is that a training academy must develop players to be students of the game. This means that not only will children learn the technical requirements, but at the same time they will learn the tactical demands of the game. This will guarantee that they improve both the physical and mental essentials to excel in the sport at a high-level.

In regards to team training, Brotman believes that it's not enough to simply train the players as a group. You must also provide individual training to ensure a player receives the necessary personalized education so they can build confidence in their abilities. Every child develops at their own pace. Simply providing generalized group training is not going to assist a child in acquiring the specific and distinct knowledge necessary to take their game to the next level.

Finally, Brotman believes in players developing a commitment to a high standard of conduct both on the field and off. Instilling great sportsmanship in players at the earliest stages of growth will influence how a person perceives competition throughout their lifetime. Teaching sportsmanship is paramount at the European American Soccer Academy and permeates every aspect of our training and in fixtures.

Brotman is a member and has advanced coaching degrees from the NSCAA.
